Description
(Bastard Cut) are double-sided handheld files that are both bastard coarseness and double cut. The coarseness refers to how quickly and aggressively the file can remove stock. Bastard cuts are the intermediate between the coarsest and the second cut coarseness. This level of coarseness allows for ample material removal at a rapid pace while still creating a smooth finish. Double cut refers to the fact that the file was cut twice, one cut on top of the other, in opposite diagonal directions. This double cut results in two sets of teeth at opposite angles in a crisscross pattern. Having these two opposing cuts allows for more aggressive removal of material.
