This rawhide mallet, with a head made from the highest grade rawhide and a handle of top-grade hickory, is an excellent choice for forming, bending and flattening metal by hammering directly on its surface. Mallets are defined by their large heads and broad, flat faces. The top-quality construction of this mallet features screws rather than nails or staples to secure the rawhide roll.
Rawhide mallets are glued and sealed in the factory, leaving them hardened from the process so that a new mallet easily mars metal workpieces. For best results and to reduce your finishing time, we recommend breaking in the head of your rawhide mallet before use on workpieces.
